Ludlow Police Encourage Route 21 Commuters to Seek Alternate Routes This Week

April 23, 2019 by jgprstaff

LUDLOW — Chief Paul Madera reports that the Ludlow Police Department is encouraging people that typically commute on Center Street to seek alternate routes this week.

Ongoing construction on Center Street (Route 21), in the area of Massachusetts Turnpike Exit 7, is expected to increase on Wednesday, April 24, due to paving operations. The road will be limited to one lane for motorists during paving.

It is expected traffic will be impacted by paving operations for the next few days, contingent on the weather.

“We’re urging commuters to avoid the area because traffic will be significantly impacted and there will be delays,” Chief Madera said. “If you can avoid the area, please seek an alternate route.”
